چکیده
Bistatic geometries are enabled in scenarios where multiple separated transmitters and receivers are employed as well as when illuminators of opportunity are exploited. Bistatic Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar (B-ISAR) becomes the radar imaging tool for obtaining non-cooperative target images in arbitrary bistatic configurations. Theoretical aspects and real data experiments have been conducted in recent years that have proven the effectiveness of B-ISAR. A review of both theory and results is provided in this paper and new perspectives are indicated.

Imaging Analysis of Space Target in Bistatic ISAR
Abstract. Bistatic angle is an important characteristic parameter of bistatic inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR), which is different from monostatic ISAR. Based on the echo model of bistatic ISAR, the impact of time-varying bistatic angle to imaging plane and quality is analyzed. The image distortion mechanism is studied and the distortion angle is estimated. The simulation experiment veri...
متن کاملThe Object Detection Efficiency in Synthetic Aperture Radar Systems
The main purpose of this paper is to develop the method of characteristic functions for calculating the detection characteristics in the case of the object surrounded by rough surfaces. This method is to be implemented in synthetic aperture radar (SAR) systems using optimal resolution algorithms. By applying the specified technique, the expressions have been obtained for the false alarm and cor...
متن کاملApplication of Displacement Map Produced by Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar Technique in Height Datum Determination in the Subsidence Area
Damages due to subsidence such as destruction of watering system and agricultural fertile soil, wells increasing, damage to the roads, bridges and high ways and disordering in the water and gas supplying usually are irreparable and costly. As a huge amount bench marks of height network of Iran are placed in the subsidence area, changing their heights is a challenge for NCC. In this study, a new...
متن کاملMultifrequency and Multistatic Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar, with Application to FM Passive Radar
This paper deals with the imaging of a moving target using a multifrequency and multistatic radar consisting in one receiver and several narrowband transmitters. Considering two hypotheses about the studied target, we derive two multistatic inverse synthetic aperture radar processors: the first one, which models the target as a set of isotropic points, performs a coherent sum of bistatic images...
متن کاملAdvances in Airborne Radar Simulation
Airborne Radar Simulation, in the present context, is the real-time generation of radar displays and other radar outputs, such as data exchanges with the flight computer or other avionics subsystems, consistent with the actual radar and in response to the interaction with the operator, ownship, targets, and the environment. The primary application is flight simulators for man-in-the-loop traini...
